The band welcomes all wind, brass and percussion players aged 18 and over

No music exams need to have been taken, but players will need to be able to read and play music to at least Grade 5 plus standard to feel confident with the range of music that we play.

University Students very welcome - Rehearsals within easy reach of both Sheffield Universities

Older players wishing to return to playing after a long gap also welcome

This instruments most needed at the moment are :-

Bassoon, Baritone Sax, French Horns (or Tenor Horns - Eb parts available for most pieces)

There are also vacancies on

Euphonium, Cornet, String Bass and Percussion

If you are a Wood Wind, French Horn or other Brass player waiting for a seat in an Orchestra then why not try us instead
